Artbeat Art Therapy

Karen Harrison from Artbeat Counselling runs Art Therapy Workshops in central Peterborough and the surrounding areas, Stamford, Spalding, Huntingdon; for anyone inspired to work with art and crafts to encourage personal insights into their emotional and mental wellbeing. The process of art-making is a proven non-invasive way of relieving stress and anxiety. Workshops last two hours and are facilitated by Karen, an experienced counsellor and graphic artist. Anyone is welcome, from beginners to accomplished artists, for a fun and creative workshop.  Art Therapy activities include; Hands Collage, All about ME, Vision Boards, Destiny Cards, Time Line work, Dream Catchers, Body Map of Emotions and Reminiscence Memory Boxes.

Artbeat Counselling has worked with various charities to bring therapeutic art to those who may be disadvantaged and unable to access art groups. Recent collaborations have been with Light Project Peterborough, Red Cross, Parca, Extended Hands and The Salvation Army Lifehouse.

Individual one-to-one counselling and art therapy sessions are available at the Crowland consulting room.
