I record the silence and resonance of the natural landscape and develop a memory of place to bring back into the textile work in my studio.
The quiet beauty of the landscape is interpreted by recurring motifs and techniques, the places I recorded have hidden memories, intangible and ephemeral; I develop constructed textiles using hand and machine embroidery on eco-dyed fabrics embellished with trapunto quilting and found objects.
