Handmade, scalpel cut, unique paper cuts. Influenced by traditional Japanese/Chinese paper cuts, but over the years my own style has been overlaid and how I can manipulate the blade. Each subject I choose teaches me its own outcome. I attended the Jacob Kramer art college in Leeds in the early 1970’s. My artwork became a hobby only, as I worked in the Civil Service and had my children. During the intervening years I painted murals, cars, cards, ceramics and made stencils. Returning to paper cutting on my retirement in 2015.
