Lindsay McGinlay – Linly Art

  • I am a self taught artist who loves the freedom of  using various medias in art. I am at my happiest when I find vintage items that can be incorporated into my work whether that be an old book, fabric or haberdashery.  In the current climate where we are all keen to help the environment and move away from the throw away society that the world has become my interest has turned to altering disused items from their original purpose into art works.

As well as working on individual pieces, I can often be found in my studio alongside a group of peers or alone with a Journal in hand.  Journal art is my way of maintaining a good level of wellbeing and can be adapted into many other forms of work for example, designing cards, altering old unwanted household items and much more.
