My work is based on experimentation with materials such as inks, charcoal, marker pens and gouache. There’s an element of play, chance and unknown in this process. Most of the works are created on paper with pen and ink.
I was born and raised in India. Every year I create a series of work related to my roots. These arise on my annual visits. My inspiration is the intense colours, architecture and sarees worn as traditional attire. One of these works is currently on display at city gallery, as part of Vivacity Open 2019.
I consider myself a doodler, hence the name madoodl.
