Philip a British abstract artist studied Technical Drawing and won two school prizes at ‘O’ & ‘A’ Level. Went into Structural Engineering when art was literally ‘put on the back burner’-‘becoming an artist a pipe dream…’ But in 1993 some life drawing classes in Cambridge changed everything. “I began to love the freedom of just making marks, the symbology in line work, my own designs and precision.”
Pip Steel is my given artist’s name and I produce limited edition prints from extensive digital artwork, selling original works at shows which are inspired, reflective and always involves a lot of recycling.
During the venue open hours I aim to create or complete some pieces and will be available to discuss my working methods.
