Emily Jayne Bowers – Joyful New Art at the Blonde Beet, Stamford

Emily’s first solo exhibition is now open at @the_blonde_beet until 28th October 2023. After some trips away meeting artists, she’s been making new work this year after deciding to spend some time reconnecting with her practice and ultimately, create work that brings her joy. Emily says: ‘I’ve brought together a collection of the work I’ve been making since April to celebrate letting go of worrying what people think!’

About Emily

Emily is an artist who is deeply inspired by the natural world and our connection to it. Her approach is experimental, tuning into emotions and body movement when creating. Colour, light, texture and atmosphere are all strong contenders in her work. She strongly believes in inspiring creative confidence in others. Having already had a varied creative career working as a photographer, videographer, illustrator and artist. In 2018 she studied an MA in Children’s Book Illustration.

Emily facilitates art workshops and works alongside local organisations, including Peterborough Presents and Nene Park. She was Art Pop-Up’s artist in residence at Deeping Lakes for Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust in 2021. She has also has also tutored and run events with Art Pop-Up and Artivity,
