Kathryn Parsons at The National Centre for Craft & Design

Found in the Field.

Parsons is an artist and visual story-teller. From porcelain plants to shoes made of sugar, her work explores places, their people and wildlife.  After focusing on plants and lichens found growing in semi-wild places, Found in the Fields is a series of works inspired by poet John Clare.  These collections of found materials, photographs and intricate porcelain sculptures tell of the plants’ fascinating structures, textures and forms.
